We have added an additional link to our website. It contains the Social Skill of the Month. The skills are discussed in detail in each classroom, posted in the hallway and included in our newsletter. You will find this page in the links on the left side of this page. Thank you for looking and reinforcing the Social Skill of the Month.

It is vitaly important for you, as shareholders, to understand the goals, policies and vision of Osmond Elementary. To make this a little easier we have included our handbook in the links below. We appreciate your support and input.

Osmond Elementary has had several teachers with a change in assignment within our building and several transfers in from other schools.

Parent Input for

Student Placement

The time for next year’s class placement is fast approaching. If you are considering making a suggestion for teacher placement for your child, remember to use the application form that is available on the website or in the office. Please consider the following:

Every classroom in each grade level offers the same exposure to the curriculum.

When classroom assignments are made for the following year, it involves a time intensive process to make sure students are considered individually for how they will succeed based on teaching style, learning style, interaction with peers in the classroom, student strengths, and teacher strengths.

We cannot consider more than one request per student. (In other words, if you are requesting a particular teacher and also requesting placement not be with certain students, there is a strong possiblity only one part of the request can be honored.)

Parent input is one determining factor and not the determining factor in placement. While we work hard to consider parent input, placement from parent input is not guaranteed. The above listed factors are taken into account when it comes to placing all students in classrooms. 

Parent input is due in the office by the end of the school day on April 28, 2017. Any requests received after that date, including requests made once the class lists have been posted, will not be considered.
